The International Conference on Digital Signal Processing (DSP) is the most longstanding conference in the area of Digital Signal Processing. It was first initiated in London in 1968 by Professor A. G. Constantinides (Imperial College London, UK), and continued to Florence (Italy), Nicosia (Cyprus), Lemessos (Cyprus), Cardiff (UK), Santorini (Greece) and Corfu (Greece). In recent years, it was held in Hong Kong (2014), Singapore (2015), Beijing (2016) and it will be held in London again on 23-25 Aug 2017 for its 50th Anniversary this year.
DSP addresses the theory and application of filtering, coding, transmitting, estimating, detecting, analyzing, recognizing, synthesizing, recording, and reproducing signals by means of digital devices or techniques. The term "signal" includes audio, video, speech, image, communication, geophysical, sonar, radar, medical, musical, and other signals.
